ABOUT LEE DOYLE

A native Californian, Lee Doyle was born in San Francisco and spent most of her childhood and young adult years in the Salinas Valley. At 17, she quit high school and left home for the Southern California coast. Lee later moved to Southern France where she lived for nearly a year in an 11th century abbey. She returned to San Francisco in 1984 and graduated from San Francisco State University in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in French, which has had a dubious effect on her success as a cocktail waitress, PR flack, and writer.

The Love We All Wait For won “Best Novel” at the 2006 East of Eden Writers Conference and is her first novel. Lee lives in Marin County, California with her husband and daughter and is currently at work on her second novel.
